At the opening of the novel, Tina is fighting for a spot at the club where she DJ’s. She wants nothing more than to headline there.

When the main singer has way too many no shows, she suddenly gets her opportunity. On the same night that a handsome guy strolls into the club. But it’s not until he makes his intentions known that they embark on a whirlwind romance. That is cut short when she gets an opportunity to step into the limelight. They’re both chasing that elusive dream. So her success calls into question their longevity. But Michael proves over and over that she can trust him with her heart.

Michael isn’t jealous of Tina’s success, but it helps him realize that he could be doing more to achieve his own dreams. He enters a contest that he has no chance of winning with a little confidence boost from Tina. Things between him and Tina have never been better. But if he wins, this newfound success will send their lives in different directions in a way that it never had before. Even as their family is looking complete.

However, this new life is killing Tina. She’s disappearing underneath the bright lights and camera shots. And she can only find relief at the bottom of a bottle. Not to mention, the fear of losing him to anything and everyone.

Is this an A Star Is Born knockoff?

I was in the middle of writing this book when A Star is Born came out. Which is why I avoided that movie like the plague as not to be prejudice. I’ve also never seen the original. So you may find it similar, you may not. Any similarities are not intentional. However, some themes in the music industry are universal. Loneliness, loss, pain, depression and alcoholism as well as drug abuse.

Is it true that Tina is on the paperback?

Will there be more books in the series?

At this time no. But I wont leave out the possibility in the future with a different couple. However, I consider Tina and Michael’s story complete.
