I struggled to put into words what I felt about this story.
The first initial conflict between our love wolves was a little contrived. One of those, communication can fix everything problems. So it had me rolling my eyes. From there the conflicts fell flat. They were too easy. The author can make the argument that getting out from under her parent’s clutches should be easy. However, spoiler alert, she shouldn’t have gotten away from the Alpha just with a strong talking too. That needed to be a fight scene, and both should have barely gotten away.
On the positive, this was a quick short read. I was clapping and whooping and hollering when my girl stood up for love in the face of her demanding parents. And when the Alpha, Jared stepped in things went up a notch. He’s definitely interesting, his domineering personality makes me want to read the next one. Overall, I love a good fated mate storyline so the romance kept me reading. There need for each other. There ever-present concern for each other when apart. All of it was there.
However, I’m disappointed in how this one played out. So my recommendation would have to be…
