Book Summary:

At the opening of the novel, Naomi, Opal, and Ruthie have experienced untold pain because all the men in their lives have died. They had a hereditary disease that they eventually all succumbed to but under different circumstances.

They’ve managed to go on without them. But the holidays aren’t getting happier. Instead, everyone’s growing more morose. Its Naomi’s idea to take a trip home to Ohio in the hopes that it would alleviate some of that. But not all the girls go with her. Just Ruthie. And this big change is more than even the best daughter in law can deal with. Neither of them have a permanent job or a permanent place to stay. But she takes it on with zeal knowing that God has her back.

Boaz is opening up his second Veterinary Clinic in Naomi’s home state of Ohio. But on the first day, there’s an accident between two of the dogs, and his longtime receptionist wont be able to come in. So Ruthie’s surprise helping hand solves more than one problem for him. Even if it doesn’t curb the dog owner, threatening to get him shut down.

But as they get closer professionally it allows them to open up to each other personally. Growing a friendship that allows love to slip in. Yet, they’re both dealing with past hurts and current stresses. Not to mention the fear of letting the people closes to them down.

At this time no. But considering reader reaction I can be persuaded to write more. If the reader suggests biblical romance stories they would love see get the updated treatment.
