OUR GUIDE:
- Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things,. . . (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
- Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)
Paige Lynn Hill’s Guide:
Vocational Life
To be the ultimate Hybrid Author committed to publishing a variety of different books in a variety of different genres under one name. Look to see books in Christian Romance, Paranormal Romance, Contemporary and more.
I will achieve this mission by:
▪ Putting God first in everything I do
• Helping others
• Celebrating the differences in people
• Seeking new knowledge and training in the industry
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with fans and professionals in the industry
• Having fun and sharing it with others
The major takeaway that I have learned, since joining the publishing industry, is that a person doesn’t just invest in your book, but they invest in you. They need to know that there is some perceived value in continuing to help you or buy your books. At face value it seems quite selfish, you have this great product it should speak for itself. When in reality, God is all about giving value, not just material goods. In fact, he assesses value differently than most of the secular world. It’s not dependent on money, accolades, or physical feats.
My purpose in life is to be a leader and I won’t know that I have achieved that until someone comes to me and says hearing me speak on X topic or reading one of my books changed their lives. There a better person for it. I think that all God would ask of me is to touch one person’s life. Not every novel will do that because sometimes we just need good, fantasy, romance-based novels. However, it will become quite clear to me which is worth more. And I won’t limit the genres at my fingertips to accomplish that goal.
What is romance, but love? What is love, but God?
